Each year, we dedicate our work to big efforts by those who are doing good things for the planet and the people on it!
Show your support for rain forest rescue, but do not stop with clicking your like buttons! Get down by going the extra mile to source from farms that do the work that the big corporations are doing! Its not good enough to just go for what has been marketing to the mainstream in the death star grocery store! Use your digging skills and get involved with local farmers, and global farmers. Help them to see they need to work interdependently!

Starting with Sri Lanka, you can help to address the many ecological and social issues, the projects focus on both environmental restoration and education. Whether we are training families in organic farming, or running a school programme on forest fauna, we empower communities to manage and protect their native environment.
Why Sri Lanka? Well we ask why energy drinks? Instead, your artist VIP rooms could be serving loose teas. Our work with tea is to counter the corporate exploitation of our ways of life (skateboarding and music). We aim for conscious skateboarding contests and the turning everything into art, including the art of sourcing give aways and prizes. Just because you skateboard or hip hop doesn’t mean that you are ignorant. Remember what its all about and kill the stereo types! Hip Hop is not what you hear on the radio, and our artists have been working hard to live the medium as the message. Do you think our media is hot or cool?
About Namasteelo?
How did we get this far? What are we doing?
Our goal in not to drop previous communities which we have promoted, but rather weave them into each promotional push. For example Year one we supported the preservation of dying arts forms and the record label supported weaving, learned it and integrated the images into the new music projects as part of the branding and to give thanks to all who recognized and supported our work and the work of the artists we built with. So you started noticing rag rug on our flyers and websites as part of our branding. We got tons of love from Japan and continue to honor and support our communities from japan. Then we started presenting japanees Americans on our projects, including Cosiner on our involution project.
The 911 event lead us to Anti-war focus, and we produced the Key to address the lies and corruption that has now effected everyone on the planet.
As war and corporate agenda took destruction of the planet to the worst possible scenerio, human needs lead to rain forest rescue. The environement of war depopularized hip hop for dealing with difficult truths and many labels started out sourcing their studios to promote energy drinks in search for funds, UNAWARE THAT ENERGY DRINK CORPORATIONS CONTRIBUTE TO RAIN FOREST DESTRUCTION.
Dealing with difficult truths in these times calls for healing, and many of us have expanded our music artistry as artists to offer music and events that involve sound healing. This becomes opportunities for other communities to awaken to Hip Hop, even if only as a process which involves hip hop people sharing music in new ways, releasing music in new ways and spinning or DJ’ing new event crowds building repsect from the ground up. Slowly people catch on that these artists are way better than the music you work out to at 24 hour fitness. This has become something taken seriously in the super food communities which are starting to throw big events.
Its true, many artists have been corralled into bad food bar tours, and could benefit by doing yoga with their companions once and a while between tours. And the yoga crowd has started to learn how to deal with difficult truths, now that so many hardcore artists are starting to appear in the yoga studios and have found companions that practice. We have challanged both communities and have offered wooden loom crafted weavings as alternatives to corporate yoga mats that are not so green. yes the yoga community in america suffers from green wash, and the yoga people are just starting to wake up enough to put their practices to work truly. Yoga leads to longevity and invites the sub-cultures of break dance and skateboarding into a longer lasting life. The more people loose their arts to the party crowd, the less they skate. each year the age that young people stop skateboarding has become younger and younger. And those who have continued their sacred arts of movement have found it harder and harder, and old friends fall away to corporate jobs, loosing interest and in a disrespect to the roots, shy away from those who live on strong. This isolates the older ones who more and more have expanding into music and other arts to keep their spirit expressed, skating less and less. Some live on strong, and we call upon all to flex their social networking muscles in support of everyone keeping it alive.
No one has better picked up in the social netowrking arena that the sustainability movement, and we are speaking about doing it not just for self but for self AND others. Trends in presentations reveal that many groups have fallen apart as artists have gone solo in times of war, audiences now cannot usually even name a group that the solo artist came from. It was the unity of the group that propped them up for success, and the community as an involved collective that gave the energy these artists needed to stay out of coffee house jobs.
We are big fans of message boards, and continue to use and support them, and find this leads into becoming more aware of free speech issues.
….yes we have been active on the typical social media platforms, but not in the way you imagine.
When we view the generations before us, and their building of America, we see that “getting there,” was all the fun. What’s left is the cultural and artistic ashes of that endeavor. We want to build the new continent, alive from within, never forgetting that all conclusions are provisional, and as such are only working models.
We have found that we are not independent of the efforts of other studios and their elements of practice, therefore we have made our efforts and resources available to all others who can feel the love in our communication. Serving artists does not come without sacrifice, but we aim for long term relationships, hoping to realize our dream that by the only true way to “serve” one’s self is to serve others.
We are a team that believes that the depth of human endeavor can be summarized in one word – - “service.” We embrace all mediums and their functions, believing that in so doing we can engage and expand our own and the awareness of “so called others” – - Truth being a process that must be lived through sharing, instead of an object that is to be coveted.
We exist to serve and enhance that energy which is, and “lives”, all of us. As such, our focus and interest is not limited to only producing, distributing, and promoting the art and music we AND you offer, but our energies and efforts extend out into and focus upon building community – - an endeavor we feel should not be defined or limited by
traditional concepts used exploitive (profiteering) corporations that cause, maintain, and sustain practices of attraction and aversion geared towards dividing the people over and over.
Corporate Deceit is Legal because the “legal fictions” have “human” rights. Please read the bit of knowledge that gives a history to corporate deceptions and errroneously makes them legal: http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0101-07.htm
