http://www.cadillacjones.com/ is connected to audio pharmacy or was through at-least one member at the time NamaSpirit was in SF. At the time Nama was connecting them to IDC music distro opportunities and now a few years later audio is on IDC http://www.independentdistro.com/page112.html

If you can interact and support these artists and our projects…. then expand for them, with us, by sharing and spreading more and more info in our Namaspirit ning community in TN http://namaspirittn.ning.com/group/namamusic, we can start to network into those circles a little… Promoting real culture and co-creating it so we can all go forward interdependently.

Visit the cadillac jones website and listen to their music. It works, it works really well, it sounds with Omid and other down tempo artists. So if you heard Involution and have been seeking other music that vibes, this is just left of center and picks up that kind of 6th sensory style. The group is touring the south 2k9. And we have people there… Connect up.

More about the movements of  this music style and their extended family called AudioPharmacy:
From the roots of hip-hop, world fusion, and experimentation. Audiopharmacy’s (San Francisco) new album, “Spare Change” has finally been born. The formula- All live world instrumentation blended with Hip Hop, World, and Reggae… Audiopharmacy is spreading their message of consciousness and unity across the globe.

Audiopharmacy’s performance and sound is refreshingly unique. Audiopharmacy’s live set is nourished with congas, Spanish and middle eastern style guitar, dubbish fretless basslines, turntablism, electronic and live drum kit as well as other percussions, flute, sax, melodica, ruan, two conscious MCs, one MC/soul singer, a Brasilian songstress (female vocalist), and live acrylic artists as well. The energy ranges from hype hip hop tracks through Latin samba vibes, dubbish/roots/reggae, to downtempo Portishead type sounds as well. Sets vary depending on show atmosphere. All musicians are diverse. A typical tour consists of the 7 piece band (band description below), a reggae/dancehall/hip hop dj, a funk/soul/hip hop dj, and two to four live painters.

With Audiopharmacy, dj Stepwise (APP San Francisco/Angel Magic/Holding Firm.) spins roots/reggae/dancehall/hip hop. Dj-ÓOfferingsÓ also is in the crew, spinning mainly funk/soul/hip hop/and reggae. Both spin before/after the live sets hyping up the crowd and keeping the vibes proper. Niceone and Dee Jae Pa’este throw down acrylic paint live on stage with the band creating solid productions by the end of each set. Also, to ensure a strong fan base in every traveled city, prior to every show, Audiopharmacy Prescriptions will supply stores who stock the CD with 200- 300 free
promotional audioflyers (cds with the store’s info printed on casing) for your promotional use. This is essential. (Audiopharmacy Prescriptions also does original illustrations, graphic design work or flyer art.) The movement is strong.

CHARACTERS ON THE SET: Teao: song writing, classical guitar, turntablism, Fretless bass, ruan, melodica, production, drum programming, band leader. Pasha: vocals (MC/poet/mpc); Zygoat: vocals (MC/poet); Ras k’ dee: vocals (MC/soul singer) Keepyahjoy: fretless bass, melodica; I-Sense: drums (roots/reggae) Elsu: flute/

“A seamless fusion of hip-hop, world, reggae, grassroots jazz, & soul into a natural mold, which speaks to your soul all while making you move. The vocalists don’t come off as emcees & song-stresses, but as ancient scribes men dropping poetic gems of truth with the care of village elders. The music and instrumentation unifies the cultures of many. The Pharm represents a movement towards a musical utopia. While the rest of society catches up, my only hope is that those who get it can “Spare” to “Change” themselves. Recommended.” Mr. Ed (WaxPoetics, SmokingSection.net)
